Rhonda has been in the mortgage and real estate industry for more than 25 years. Following in her mother’s footsteps, she started in real estate, moved on to work with a major lender, and finally joined with her mother in 1996 to open Pinellas Mortgage Services. This was more than a family-owned business; it was an adventure through some of the most exciting times in the mortgage industry. She has been with VanDyk Mortgage Corp since April 2010, when Pinellas Mortgage Services merged with them. Her goal is to be “Your Lender For Life”, and she works hard to maintain that through consistent communication as loans progress.
Rhonda is committed to protecting the consumers that she works for. She has served as a State Director for the Florida Association of Mortgage Brokers, and is Past-President for the Gulf Coast Chapter of the Florida Association of Mortgage Brokers. She works hard to educate consumers about their mortgage, its terms and to act as a guide in exploring the many financing options available to them. It is important to know what products may be best suited to a consumer’s needs and to enable them to make educated decisions.
Rhonda’s personal goal is to make the home buying process as stress-free as possible. Having experienced many closings, and hundreds of satisfied customers, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to each and every closing. She has been recognized as Broker of the Year by her peers, is a standing member of the State Political Action Committee, has travelled to Washington and to Tallahassee to speak on behalf of consumer’s rights, and she loves her career.
As Education Chair for the Florida Association of Mortgage Brokers, Rhonda is continuously staying current on pending changes that affect the mortgage industry. In addition, her education includes standard continuing education in Mortgage Brokering and Florida Real Estate, as well as attendance at FHA, VA and several Mortgage-Related seminars, Title Industry seminars, Tax Return Review seminars, Responsible Loan Originating.
